for "Geisha Mitsuko" by Sharon Mitchell. Mitsuko is a 16" stump doll made for intermediate to advanced doll makers, although a beginner could follow this pattern with relative success. The pattern is 41 pages long and has been an online workshop, so it is full of step-by-step pictures and diagrams to guide you.  Join fabrics, or use whole pieces of contrasting or tonal colors to create a beautiful kimono.
Geisha Mitsuko came about to help a friend explore her culture. Dolls are storytellers, and this lovely geisha doll tells of an era of elegance, grace and beauty.
